Been in Phoenix 23 years but I am really a California native with roots in Washington state. I was born in San Diego, lived in Seattle, grew up in Pacifica (suburb of San Francisco), I have a lot of family in Spokane and around the Pacific Northwest.
I have a partner - 12 years and counting. I play darts, bowl, movies, reading, some sports, mostly as a spectator, game nights with family or friends. I also enjoy some amateur video editing and I am rarely without my camera at group functions. I am also a fan of the Harry Potter books, I will admit, another guilty pleasure my father turned me on to.
I grew up in a large family, oldest son of nine, all my siblings are very supportive of my partner and I. I had a wonderful father who was my inspiration but passed in 2005. I can thank him for my odd sense of humor and love of British comedy (Monty Python and Red Dwarf forever!!)
I am a developer at heart, I used to be the Development Director for a call center that is now no more. Tried working for a start-up but that did not last long, looking for work again.
Not sure if this will be interesting, or just the same old "I did this today" - There will be both Public and private/friend entries. I'm hoping it will be different as I always thought there was a part of me that wanted to write as a profession and a life. Either that or act on stage. So I settled as a programmer? - Does that make sense? Of course it was my inspiration of a mother <-sarcasm> that always made it clear you should have a real job as a fall back. Problem is I never got out of the fall back job into something more creative.
